‘KEEPING the cutlery sharp’ isn’t something you’d find in your standard lease agreement, but common sense hasn’t stopped some tenants from making insane complaints. The rules around renting a home can be confounding, but some tenants are known to ‘try their luck’ and demand some pretty wacky stuff.Simon Hampel, founder of property investor website PropertyChat.com.au, said a recent forum thread caught his eye.Mr Hampel said in most cases with over-demanding tenants, it’s a matter of inexperience.“Some of those people are naive – maybe they’re young and inexperienced or maybe they’ve never been responsible for the upkeep of a property themselves and don’t really understand how much things cost or what’s reasonable to expect.”Video Player is loading.Play VideoPlayNext playlist itemMuteCurrent Time 0:00/Duration 2:23Loaded: 0%Stream Type LIVESeek to live, currently playing liveLIVERemaining Time -2:23 Playback Rate1xChaptersChaptersDescriptionsdescriptions off, selectedCaptionscaptions settings, opens captions settings dialogcaptions off, selectedQuality Levels720p720pHD540p540p360p360p270p270pAutoA, selectedAudio Trackdefault, selectedFullscreenThis is a modal window.Beginning of dialog window. This is an investment after all.”However, even the most reasonable landlord might find a few of these posts from PropertyChat members hard to swallow:“My tenant complained to me about the loud ping of the microwave in the apartment next door. Yup.”“I manage one of our i.p.’s (investment properties) and got a request a couple of months back. ‘Can you come and sharpen the knives as they are not sharp anymore?’ It seems the tenants aren’t either.”“Last year a tenant sent one of our landlords an invoice for $250 – a restaurant bill for a family of 4 including drinks. All had roast. The reason: the oven was not working and they HAD to have roast dinner on the weekend. The stove top was working.”“Tenants complained house had too many flies, it was an 80 year old house in regional Vic.”“Tenants insisted on removing ‘old cupboard’ (Art Deco Stained Glasss) in the kitchen, then complained about lack of storage.”“My best one, so far, was the Cairns tenant who complained the rain came in when the window was open.”“Not one of mine but I read online: Tenant complains of dripping tap after hours, PM deems as non urgent so files it away for the morning. Tenant gets aggravated by the sound, abuses PM says its keeping her kids awake, tenant calls an after-hours plumber themselves threatening to forward the bill. Plumber gets there – turns out the sound is not from the tap, but someone left their electric toothbrush switched on inside the vanity cupboard.”More from newsMould, age, not enough to stop 17 bidders fighting for this home5 hours agoBuyers ‘crazy’ not to take govt freebies, says 28-yr-old investor5 hours ago“Tenant threatening to sue the owner for not having access to her back yard due to bindies …”“My (overseas student) tenants complained that the smoke alarm wouldn’t turn off. Property is just around the corner. I go over, smoke alarm is still going off 15 minutes later. Took it down, noticing a wet patch on the ceiling. Water leak? No. Tenants got sick of it going off every time they burned their toast, so they would throw water at it to ‘cool it down’ and make it stop beeping. Water had fried the electronics. Navi Mumbai: Hardik Pandya continued his destructive form on return from injury as he slammed a 55-ball 158 for Reliance 1 against BPCL in the semi-final of the 16th DY Patil T20 Cup at the DY Patil Stadium here on Friday. Days after smashing 105 off just 39 balls, fit-again Hardik tonked 20 massive sixes and hit six fours in his blitzkrieg which entertained the crowd who had turned up to see the likes of him, Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Shreyas Iyer among others. Reliance 1 rode Hardik’s pyrotechnics to reach 238. Hardik underwent surgery after suffering a lower-back injury five months ago and has since been on a road to recovery. He could not be fit in time for the New Zealand tour but started bowling at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru after returning from a check-up in the UK. After smashing 105 against CAG in a Group C encounter a few days ago, he had said: “It’s fantastic (platform) for someone like me. I have been away for almost six months. This is my second game after a long time. For me, it is a good platform to see where I am currently and test my body. Fantasy Football Updates: Antonio Brown out with foot injury, Cooper Kupp, Odell Beckham Jr. look healthyAugust 16, 2020 | By admin | No Comments | Filed in: zuwcxmlkn.
DOMINATE YOUR DRAFT: Ultimate 2019 Fantasy Cheat SheetAntonio Brown injury updateBrown showed up to training camp in a hot air balloon with little concern about his health, but that’s changed as Brown continues to miss practices. Pro Football Talk reported yesterday that Brown’s feet are frostbitten after he entered a cryotherapy machine without the proper footwear. The Raiders will only acknowledge that they’re “gathering information.”No matter how ridiculous Brown’s reason for injury, it’s the uncertainty surrounding it all that should make fantasy owners cringe. No one is quite sure yet when Brown will return. He’s currently in our top tier of wideouts, but the longer Brown isn’t on the practice field, the more he’ll warrant immense caution on draft day. Any potential missed time by Brown could also be a boost to Tyrell Williams, who would be forced into No. 1 WR targets. 2019 STANDARD RANKINGS:Quarterback | Running back | Wide Receiver | Tght End | D/ST | Kicker | Top 200Cooper Kupp season outlookAbout nine months after tearing his ACL, Kupp took his first hit in training camp earlier this week and is feeling just fine. The Los Angeles Daily News reported that Kupp said, “You get that first one out of the way, and you’re good.” Sean McVay has said Kupp looks more explosive than before the injury. The Rams’ starters are expected to play sparingly, if at all, in the preseason, but that’s just precautionary and not an indication of negative health.Kupp averaged the ninth-most fantasy points per game in standard leagues in 2018, tied with Michael Thomas. He’s currently going off draft boards as a late WR2, though. It’s easy to look at the L.A. receiving corps and wonder how anyone can separate themselves, but Kupp was making his case as the best one before his injury last year. 2019 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | Top 200 Is Odell Beckham Jr. healthy?Beckham missed the final four games of 2018 with a quad injury, so his absence from Browns’ practice Monday could’ve been concerning. That was only because of illness, though, cleveland.com reported. Beckham was back out on the practice field Tuesday, and he and his new QB, Baker Mayfield, are working on building their relationship with Beckham’s season-ending injury a thing of the past.FANTASY SLEEPERS: 8 QBs | 14 RBs | 11 WRs | 11 TEs | 6 D/STs | One from each teamLike Brown, Beckham is one of our top-tier WRs. He was already one of the best while catching passes from an over-the-hill Eli Manning, so pairing with Mayfield in Cleveland should scratch the surface of even greater, untapped potential. Appearing fully healthy, Beckham is worth a second-round pick in fantasy drafts with potential to finish as fantasy’s top WR. Fantasy football owners hate uncertainty, and injuries are the leading cause of second-guessing and panicked Googling during drafts. No one expected Antonio Brown to still be out of training camp, yet he’s currently on the sidelines with a mysterious foot injury. On the bright side, two wide receivers who didn’t finish last season in Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham, Jr. look to be fully healthy. As you put together your cheat sheets and rankings, be sure to know the latest updates on these WRs. And be sure to check out our top 200 rankings during the preseason, as they’ll be continuously updated based on the latest news and updates.
